location: The Evergreen Laurel is located just outside of the main city centre of Georgetown on gurney Drive. It is just a few minutes from the business district and within walking distance to the famous Gurney Drive beach. Though the beach is not much for swimming but Gurney Drive is world famous when it comes alive at night with the local hawker food stalls. rooms: This hotel features 368 guestrooms with uninterrupted view of either sea or Georgetown and Penang Hill. The rooms are large and has a higher ceiling than most standard hotel rooms, making it look very spacious. The cherry wood coloured furniture gives a cosy feeling. The carpets are green, and bedcover & curtains are in beige and pastel shades. Rooms come with free internet access and there is a 2 seater sofa by the window where you can sit and enjoy the view. Toilets are also of very good size and the white marble top and wall tiles are still in good condition.
