The hotel is located right on the town square, in the heart of the local community and the beautiful town of Wimborne Minster. Location is key, and with Poole just 20 minutes away and both Bournemouth and Southampton just half an hour's drive away, access couldn't be easier. Bournemouth Airport is some 13 km away.

The original building, dating back to the 1800s was known as The Laing's Hotel until the turn of the century, when another floor was added to make it into the centrepiece of the town square that it is today. It is now dedicated to Henry VII. With its high ceilings, large windows, sofas and comfortable armchairs, there is a light, elegant and airy feel at the property, reminiscent of a bygone era. There are lots of old photographs, some over one hundred years old, of the hotel and its development, as well as images of the old town, all adding to the ambience of this lovely building. Guests can enjoy free on-site car parking. The lift facility and wheelchair access make the property easily accessible for disabled guests. The hotel comprises a total of 27 en-suite bedrooms and is non-smoking throughout. Further facilities include a lobby, a bar, a restaurant, Internet access and parking for those arriving by car.

All of the guest rooms are traditionally decorated and furnished to a high standard. They come with a telephone, daily housekeeping, a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. An en-suite bathroom with shower and bathtub comes as standard, as well as a double bed, a radio, Internet access and an iron and ironing board.

The restaurant specialises in good simple English food. The bar also serves delicious meals, together with traditional ales.

By car: from the A31 to Dorchester take the B3073 into Wimborne. Follow signs to the town centre. The hotel is in the square, on the left-hand side.
