Bathrooms are of excellent quality with shower over bathtub. Rooms include; mini-bar, complimentary tea/coffee, TV with cable channels and in house movies, Iron/ironing board, hair dryers. The air-conditioning is controllable in room by remote control.
restaurant: Plate is the in-house restaurant, located on the ground floor and designed in a modern European style. Serves mainly New Zealand and Pacific Rim cuisine.
exterior: A 17 storey tower block with a glass and metal facade. The entrance is on Featherston street.
lobby: A medium to large sized lobby with high ceilings. Light and airy with use of marble and brown leather on the reception and seating areas. The casual seating is adjacent to the bar and restaurant.
general: This is a brand new Holiday Inn which opened to its firsts guests in January 2007. A very good location in the heart of the business district. Its is a two minute walk to the railway and bus station. Its also the closest hotel to the Inter-island ferry terminal. Major tourist attractions close by include the Parliament building (The Beehive), Old St Paul's church and the Westpac sports stadium where many international and domestic events take place.
