The 4-star Herods Dead Sea promises modern comforts and excellent facilities, right beside the world's most famous salt lake. Highlights include a private beach and luxurious spa. Located a short walk from the small community of Neve Zohar, the hotel provides unrivalled access to the southern half of the Dead Sea. Guests are also within 60km or so of three national parks, the closest being Masada, its harsh landscape comprised of bare rock and ancient Roman ruins. The hotel occupies a mid-size new-build designed with the 21st-century traveller in mind. In addition to outdoor and indoor swimming pools, the hotel boasts a tennis court, a basketball court, a Jacuzzi, wet and dry saunas, a solarium and a spa that offers a variety of body and massage treatments. There is also a kids club that organises activities and day performances. The Panorama restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, preparing delicious Israeli dishes. The pool bar serves a range of hot and cold beverages. The Rothschild cafe offers some of the best coffee in the country. Deluxe rooms are spacious and bright, benefiting from a fresh and colourful decor. Notable amenities include a mini-bar, a balcony and an en-suite bathroom. Parking is possible onsite.
