This world-famous spa complex is situated in Marianske Lazne. The hotel is set in a calm forest park above the town, with beautiful views of the whole spa resort. The town lies in a wooded valley at an average height of 630 metres above sea level and is teeming with rich, natural sources of healing springs. 40 mineral springs lie within the relatively small boundaries of the town and there are over a hundred more in the local vicinity. The hotel lies just 5 minutes' walk from the centre of town and is within a 15-minute walk of nightspots and the local bus and train stations. Shops can be found within 100 metres, whilst the ski slopes are around 1 km away. The casino is 500 metres away and other nearby attractions include the chateau of Kynzvart, Tepla Monastery and the castle and chateau of Becov, which are approximately 9, 16 and 26 km away respectively. Karlovy Vary can be reached in roughly an hour by public transport.
This historical hotel is situated in a location whose fame dates back to 1828, when, as the Friendship Viewpoint, it was a popular destination for visitors. The establishment was built in 1886 and since its inception, a series of terraces, a restaurant garden and tennis courts have been added to the original 3 buildings, creating an imposing complex which can be seen from all around. Nowadays the establishment comprises a total of 104 guest rooms spread across 4 storeys. Guests are welcomed into a lobby with 24-hour reception service, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities and a cloakroom. On-site facilities include lift access, a hairdressing salon, a children's playground and dining options such as a café, bar and restaurant. Business guests will find conference facilities on site and Internet access and room and laundry services are also provided. Guests arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the nearby car park, whilst those wishing to explore the local surroundings can hire bikes from reception.
