Boston is the capital (English Commonwealth of) Massachusetts, USA. It is the largest city not only in Massachusetts, but throughout the region known as New England, is also its unofficial capital.

The town itself is called the Boston metropolitan area in the center of CMSA (Consolidated Metropolitan Statistical Area), the seventh largest in the United States.
