Kuwait City (Kuwait and Al) is the capital of Kuwait. Located in the heart of the country, the Persian Gulf coast, the city has a population of 2.38 million inhabitants in the metropolitan area. Parliament building is home to many government offices, corporate offices and banks and is undoubtedly the political, economic and cultural center of the emirate. Trade and transport needs are met through Kuwait International Airport, Port and Port Al-Shuwaik al-Ahmadi, Persian Gulf shore.
Kuwait City has an arid climate, meet very hot summers with average temperatures between 38 and 46 degrees Celsius. Downtown temperatures can exceed 50 degrees and value. In winter, temperatures are lower and there might be some rain but the summer rains are rare.
After the Iraqi armed forces withdrew from Kuwait in 1991, foreign investors and state government were actively involved in developing and modernizing the city, turning it into a world class business center. Many hotels, shopping malls and office buildings were constructed, indicating a strong growth at the end of the war.
