Initially, the city was a fishing village dating back to 1116 due to the Danes, which for several centuries was the second city of Denmark. Malmo is famous because of the impressive number of parks that led to the idea of receiving the name of the City of Parks. The parks and canals that cross the old neighborhoods add an undeniable charm to the city, being true places full of calm and tranquility. What is even more impressive in Malmo is the fact that in the city center there is a beach called Ribersborg also known as Scandinavian Copacabana. Malmo is the place where many cultures meet and live in harmony, where over 100 dialects are spoken that make maintaining an active cultural life. Modern art works from Sweden, but also from many places, are on display at the Malmo Art Gallery, the Rooseum, as well as the Malmo Art Museum.
