Ramat Gan is a city in Israel with 145,875 seats. (in 2010) located in the Gush Dan metropolitan area of Tel Aviv district, just east of the city of Tel Aviv.
On its territory are the Israel National Football Stadium, Ramat Gan National Park, Safari, Bar Ilan University, Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, Diamond Exchange, "Beit Tzvi" School of Dramatic Arts, "Olav al Theater" V "," Yahalom "," Hasifriyá "Theater," Shenkar "Higher Textile and Design School, Ramat Gan Museum, Knyón Ayalon Mall. The city is home to numerous businesses, including high tech, as well as the tallest building in Israel, Moshe Aviv Tower.
Ramat Gan was founded in 1921 as a non-cooperative moshavá agricultural settlement. In 1926 it was granted the status of local council, and in 1950 it was declared a city.
The main parks of the city are: National Park, on an area of 190 hectares, David Park in the neighborhood of Merom Navè. 25% of the city's surface is covered by public parks.
