The History Museum is a popular attraction for tourists and has an impressive collection of objects bearing the imprints of ancient times. The archaeological objects from ancient times are the major attractions of this museum. The coffin of the local patriot Avni Rustemi can be seen here. The Independence Museum is actually a moderately sized villa, which was HQ Albania's first post-independence government in 1912. Inside you can see what the rooms and offices looked like, as well as historical artifacts and photographs from the time. It is a good place to find out about the short, but the first taste of Albania's independence during the tumultuous years just before the First World War.
Llogara National Park is strategically located in the Ceraunian Mountains, southeast of Orikum. The park covers 1,010 ha along the Ionian Sea. The altitude of the park varies between 200 m and 2,020 m above the Adriatic. The park enjoys a Mediterranean climate with subtropical influences, with rainy and dry winters and hot to warm summers.
The Ethnographic Museum is a small but unique museum full of ancient artifacts and exhibits various aspects of traditional Albanian life.
