Bears Cave - details and images
The Bear Cave is made up of 4 main galleries: the Bones Gallery, Emil Racoviţă Gallery, the Candles Gallery and the Scientific Gallery. The access to the Scientific Gallery, following the Emil Racoviţă Gallery and accessible only by a 30 m well, is intended for professional speleologists.
In the 3 main galleries of the Bear Cave accessible to the public you will be able to discover the remains of the cave bear, through a large number of fossils, which also gave the name of the cave, but also various impressive natural formations, such as stalactites and stalagmites, some of them receiving and names for the features they denote, such as: The Enchanted Palace, the Little House, the Lake with Water Lilies, the Elders' Council and so on.
