Botiza Monastery - details and images
Convent, monastery Botiza (hermitage Bals Botiza) dedicated to the "Transfiguration" is a sacred foundation Botiza village that hosts a miracle working icon.
Construction of the monastery began in 1991, work was coordinated by the master of Botiza Petrehus Basil, by the desire of believers and the parent.
The monastery is built of fir wood, decorated the porch with the arches of Maramures, Maramures sculpted style. Is worked in fresco painting, Byzantine style by painter John Botis from Viseu de Sus together with family. The churches walls are painted with biblical scenes. Sculpture in the church were executed by a group of sculptors from Humulesti.
Church of the monastic complex was dedicated in 2007 by Justin Grace. Since then he has continued to expand the complex. Mother Rafaela saying that, currently, is working to build a house with chapel.
