Building administrative center Binnenhof - details and images
Binnenhof is a complex of buildings in The Hague. This was the meeting place of the Dutch Parliament since 1446 and was for many centuries the Dutch political center.
The reason for Count Floris IV acquired the land in 1229, was to build his mansion, along with the small lake that he named Hofvijver or Pond Court. Around them were a series of buildings constructed, many of which are well known, such as Ridderzaal (Hall), where the queen keeps her annual speech to Prinsjesdag.
One of the towers, simply known as "Little Tower" was the office of Prime Minister of the Netherlands in 1982.
