Castle Carrouges - details and images
Carrouges Castle was in town with the same name in Orne region and is an old fortress built in typical medieval architectural style, appearance or keeping it far in spite of numerous works of restoration and consolidation.
The building dates from the fourteenth century but was extended through the centuries and turned into a grand city, not at all modest in size.
Restored the castle and its gardens stretch over an area of 10 hectares, space negligible, and is currently administered by the Centre National Monuments.
