Volvo Museum invites you to explore the development and success of Volvo in the late 1920s until now, under one roof in Gothenburg, Sweden. Learn how traditional values have been refined to make Volvo's most powerful and respected brand name.
Volvo is just one of the famous Swedish companies in Goteborg, which was founded as a subsidiary of another big company, and the museum that bears his name in the history of the company's first creation, in 1927, the line today, including cars, buses , trucks and many other products.
Only the Swedish manufacturer in 1935 became an independent company under the name Volvo AB united. The first model was built by Volvo OV4 which was actually short for "Vagn Oppenau 4 cylindrar" translated "4-cylinder car opened." OV4 was equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that develops 28 horsepower, enough to propel a car of 1,170 pounds.
The car was not produced only in 996 copies, of which only model can be found alive at the Volvo museum in Sweden.
