2009 marks the centenary of Francis Bacon, the greatest artist of the 20th century figuartiv. No visit to Dublin is complete without a visit to Bacon studio in Dublin City Hugh Lane Gallery. This great space, which was transferred from 7 Reece Mews, Kensington, London in 2001, was listed as one of the three works of Irish art in the Guardian "100 works of art that you must see before you die" (one of these works of art, "Eve of Saint Agnes by Harry Clarke, who is also continuously exposed Hugh Lane). Gallery will celebrate the work of this famous Irish artist on October 28, the birthday of Francis Bacon.
