Iasi International Airport is an airport located in Iasi (Romania). Located about 8 km east of downtown.

Iasi Airport is one of the oldest airports in what is now accredited to Romania.

The first flight took place in 1905 and in 1926, with the inauguration of the Bucharest-Galati, Iasi and Chisinau, Iasi Airport has acquired the status of commercial airport. In 1969 the airport is upgraded, constructed a concrete runway of 1,800 m in total length and a passenger terminal.

Last modernization of the airport takes place in 2001 when the passenger terminal is brought to a simultaneous processing capacity of 150 passengers per hour for domestic traffic, and 100 passengers per hour for external traffic. A next-generation passenger terminal, cargo terminal and a runway of 3,000 m are provided separately in a new project, its implementation in real time depending on securing funding.

In 2005, Iasi County Council initiated a project to modernize the airport, estimated at 200 million euro investment. After preparing the feasibility study, the project stalled due to land claims in the area where the airport would be expanded.
