Lion's den Mosque - Aslanhane Camii - details and images
Built in 1289, in the south of the Citadel, Aslanhane Camii is the oldest mosque in Ankara and Kocatepe mosque to be built was the largest in Ankara.
The building is one of the best examples of Selçuk architecture with colorful pottery and wooden columns of marble capitols. The name comes from the mosque included stone walls lion.
