Maritime Cemetery - Sulina - details and images
Located at the exit of the town from the beach, maritime cemetery represents a three cemeteries: Christian Cemetery (Cemetery CED divided into Cemetery Orthodox Old Rite Orthodox Cemetery - Cemetery lipovens and Western European churches), and Muslim Cemetery Hebrew Cemetery.
Among the graves of officers and commanders of the Romanian Royal Navy can be found Moruzi tomb of Princess Catherine, the niece of John Moldovan voivode Sturza, born in Istanbul but he found the end of the Sulina and the tomb of William Simpson, the man of confidence of the European Commission's chief engineer Danube. Simpson led the 13 years of construction works on the channel, and the landing lights on the pier.
