Modern Art Collection offers a wide overview of the evolution of fine arts from the 19th century. Charley Toorop's piercing eyes and bowl Floris Verster's eggs are flanked by well-known works of foreign artists, including Picasso and Monet I, plus a large collection of German expressionist pieces.
Print Room of Modern Art has a large collection of drawings, prints and posters dating from the 19th and 20th centuries. Most of the artists are Dutch, but there are also major groups of foreign works. These include a beautiful collection of 19th-century French graphic art with an emphasis on work by Bresdin, Lautrec and Redon. German Expressionism is also well represented. Total whole collection is about 50,000 articles.
