Orthodox Cathedral of the Assumption - Satu Mare - details and images
The cathedral was built between 1932-1937. Meets Romanian church style with specific outer belt. The painting was done by brothers Eugene and Eremia Profeta.
The church has a famous choir - with a tradition of over 75 years and a rich collection of documents that talk about the churches inside the city Satmar româneştidin about schismatics in these places and fight against the campaign of denationalization of the Romanian Episcopate Mukacheve.
Entry is through a monumental portal-arches resting on six columns. Exonarthex is open on three sides.
