Palace of Culture - Targu Mures - details and images

Palace, which was built between 1911 - 1913 the city mayor, György Bernady, designed by architects and Marcell Komor and Dezso Jakab as lechneriene school is required by both internal decoration, but also the outside.

Outside, the palace is decorated with mosaics and bronze and stone reliefs, frescoes and stained glass of real artistic value.

Inside, the hall of mirrors there are two groups of three large mirrors colorful stained glass and 12 that occupies the entire wall facing the street. Stained glass windows were proposed to represent Europe at the exhibition of decorative art in San Francisco in 1914, but due to the outbreak of World War only their drawings, which have been awarded, were sent to the exhibition. During the Second World War were stained stored in the basement to be protected.

The lobby interior is impressive, being 45 meters long, made of Carrara marble and bordered by two Venetian mirrors.
