Palatio del Infantado - details and images
Palatio del Infantado is an example of stunning architecture, Renaissance and Mudejar with details. This magnificent palace, in a style that mixes features of late Gothic and Mudejar, Mendoza family was built between 1461 and 1480. The architect of this building was Juan gouache. It was built at the wish of the second Duke of Infantado, Inigo Lopez de Mendoza.
Construction of the building, which now houses a museum, archive provincial and municipal libraries, is a magnificent work style Isabella, over which is a beautiful Renaissance facade. Inside is structured around the Patio de los Leones (Lions Court), in which there are two galleries. Mudejar decoration is reflected in its tile, coffered ceilings in barbecue. Arms in front facade is a market Mendoza. In side was a Moor Park, which was later rebuilt in Renaissance style.
