Royal Church of Busteni - details and images
Built of stone quarry, is a reduced copy of the Monastery Horezu, architecture, interior fittings and its age, entering among the outstanding monuments of the city.
Is an Orthodox church, built in 1889. Built by King Carol I and Queen Elizabeth, painted life-size in the narthex. Cross shape with two towers of different shapes, was built by Italian manufacturers, led by Pietro Dreossi. The furniture is solid oak and veil, considered the most beautiful in Romania, has worked in Vienna.
Kept the original icons are painted by George Tatarascu and his disciples. The original painting of the altar is the same author as the Sinaia Monastery - Agnes Exner.
