St. Mary's Church - details and images
St. Mary Church - built in Gothic style in the fourteenth century, Central Square, famous for carved wooden altar, but also famous trumpet signal.
At each time of day and night in the four corners, you can hear the bell tower of St. Mary, a trumpet signal of a bugler. The melodious anthem, a tribute that brings an entire country Brave soldier was killed by arrows while the Mongols gave defense signal of the city. At noon, the sound can be heard all over Poland through the national radio station.
In his memory, today we heard from the tower every hour a powerful band sound that suddenly stop. In this Gothic church is located in the largest medieval altar, 13 feet tall.
