Duchess Maria of Burgundy was the queen of the Netherlands in the last part of the fifteenth century. "Virgin" is the only Michelangelo's statue of the great sculptor who left Italy during his lifetime. Although it was originally built for the cathedral of Sienna, two merchants from Bruges in Belgium brought the statue after their trip to Italy in 1506.
Visiting hours are: Monday-Friday 9:00 to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Enterprise Fees: church and statue of the Virgin with the child are free, and Carol's Chapel of Mary and the museum cost 2.50 EUR 1.50 EUR for adults and children
