Windmills of Mykonos - details and images
Windmills are the most important attractions in Mykonos who have earned a reputation by one of James Bond movies. Aligned in an attractive bay is above Mykonos.
"Windmills" is located south of Chora, between interesting and Neochori Alefkandra. Mills overwhelming influence visitors with their massive forms and completely white in a row facing the sea. Currently, a total of seven mills have been preserved of the ten mills which until the early twentieth century using local wheat mills wind power constant.
Windmills of Mykonos, in collaboration with some of its bakeries, have contributed to the commercial economy of the island as it became a required stop for ships traveling in the Aegean Sea to supply paximadi (crackers boat).
