Eindhoven

Eindhoven is the fifth largest city in the south of the country and the largest city in the province of North Barbant. It is one of the oldest times in the Netherlands. The city is formed after a village care group for local care of the Eindhoven metropolitan area. The city came into the spotlight when Philips discovered the first incandescent bulb in Eindhoven. There are two museums dedicated to the main topics of the city's industrial heritage:- the DAF Museum which has a collection of DAF cars and The Philips Museum documents the early light bulb industry.
-The former district court house now houses Designhuis, a public podium and an interaction area for modern design and innovation.
- The Eindhoven Museum is an open-air archaeological museum, focusing on the Iron Age and the Middle Ages in the region. It was merged in 2011 with the Kempenland Museum, a former regional museum, which documents the history of the Kempenland region in educational objects, documents and activities. The old Kempenland Museum location, Steentjeskerk, is closed.
-Inkijkmuseum- housed in an old lingerie factory in Dommelstraat, it is a small but special museum: it offers constantly changing exhibits, which must be visited through the windows of the building.
-Van Abbemuseum has a collection of modern and contemporary art, including works by Picasso, Kandinsky, Mondriaan and Chagall.
-Ontdekfabriek (Discovery Factory) Children's Museum.
-Van Gogh Village, Nuenen- Just eight kilometers northeast of Eindhoven is the best-illustrated Nuenen village in the world for its inclusion in the art of Vincent Van Gogh, who lived here from 1883 to 1885. His home temporary was in the pastor's house, which was completely restored to its original style.
Dierenrijk Zoo- A good place to visit if you are in Eindhoven with children, Dierenrijk is a family-run zoo, where the focus is on close meetings and interaction with wildlife.
