Chennai (in Tamil சென்னை) is the capital of Tamil Nadu state in eastern India. Until recently the town was named or Madarasapatinam Madras on the coast of Coromandel and Bay of Bengal. Large area of Chennai city has nearly 7 million inhabitants.
