The Plaza Mayor with palm strawberries is the main square in Trinidad, this being the place where the striking Church of the Holy Trinity is.
The yellow-pale church of the Holy Trinity (Iglesia Parroquial de Santísima Trinidad), was built at the end of the 19th century, replacing the previous building from the 17th century.
The Brunet Palace (Palacio Brunet) is the large yellow building with high arches to the left of the church. The former family mansion has two floors, the upper floor is the place where you can see beautiful views of the market.
Parque el Cubano is the second most popular day trip from Trinidad and ideal for those who like a short hike surrounded by nature.
Cienfuegos literally means 100 fires and is known as the Southern Pearl. From Trinidad, you can visit the colonial city to see the most important sights, such as the Jose Marti Central Park, the unique architecture of the Ferrer Palace and the mansions of Punta
Gorda.
