Bremen

Bremen is a city located in north western Germany. Port town, along the river Weser, Bremen is part of the Bremen-Oldenburg metropolitan area. Bremen was a member of the medieval Hanseatic League and is still one of the most important cities in northern Germany. Together with the city of Bremerhaven, bordering the North Sea, is the smallest province of Germany. Bremen has more than 1,200 years of history, along which functioned largely as an independent city-state. Bremen is an interesting city, most of its tourism objectives can be found in the Altstadt (Old Town), an oval area surrounded by the river Weser.
