Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic. The city is situated on the River Vltava in central Bohemia, and has nearly 1.2 million inhabitants, the number of which are not taken into account the estimated 300,000 commuters who work in town, but do not
live here.
Prague has several nicknames, including Prague urbium mater ("mother city"), "city of a hundred bell towers" or "City of Gold" [1]. Since 1992, the historic center of Prague has been included on the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites.
